This policy explains how LetsGetBooked Ltd ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and
protects your personal information when you use the LetsGetBooked platform. We are the
"data controller" for the information described here. We aim to be clear and only collect what we need
to run the booking service.
To keep the platform secure, prevent abuse, and meet our legal obligations.
3. Legal bases (UK GDPR)
Contract — to provide the booking service you've asked for.
Legitimate interests — to run, secure and improve the platform and prevent fraud/abuse.
Legal obligation — to keep records we're required to keep (e.g. for tax).
Consent — where we ask for it, for example optional communications; you can withdraw it at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the service:
The business you book with — your name, contact details and booking details, so they can provide the service.
Stripe — our payment processor, to take deposits securely.
Mailjet — to send and receive service emails (confirmations, password resets, support).
Amazon Web Services — secure hosting/storage, including business gallery images.
Mapping & address lookup providers — to find businesses near a postcode.
Authorities or advisors — where required by law.
Some providers may process data outside the UK; where they do, appropriate safeguards are in place.
5. Payments
Deposits are processed by Stripe. Your full card number is entered on Stripe's secure
checkout and is never seen or stored on our servers — we only keep a transaction reference and the amount.
Stripe's own privacy terms apply to their handling of your payment data.
6. Cookies
We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies to keep you logged in and to keep the site secure
(for example, your session cookie). These are essential to the service and don't track you for advertising.
Where third-party tools (such as maps or payments) are used, they may set their own cookies governed by
their policies.
7. How long we keep it
We keep your information for as long as you have an account and as long as needed to provide the service.
Booking and transaction records may be retained longer where we're required to keep them (for example, for
accounting and legal purposes). When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
8. Security
Passwords are stored as secure hashes, payments run over encrypted connections, and access to personal
data is limited. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational measures
to protect your information and to act quickly if something goes wrong.
9. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
Access the personal information we hold about you.
Ask us to correct anything that's inaccurate.
Ask us to delete your information ("right to erasure"), subject to records we must keep.
Object to or restrict certain processing, and to data portability.
Withdraw consent where we relied on it.
To exercise any of these — including deleting your account and data —
email support@letsgetbooked.co.uk and we'll
action it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at
ico.org.uk.
10. Children
The platform isn't intended for young children. Business accounts require you to be at least 16. Where a
service has its own age requirements, those are set and enforced by the business.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above reflects the latest version,
and significant changes will be made clear on the platform.
